FRAUD: GOBE, Nollywood Actress, Bukky Wright Loses N40m To Con Men

Top actress and producer, Bukky Wright is at the moment in sobriety over the loss of over N40m to conmen who approached and talked her to buy a property in Lagos recently.
The Yoruba actress and Chivita brand ambassador was allegedly still in shock over the huge amount of money she was skillfully swindled of a couple of weeks ago.
Bukky was said to have been approached to acquire a house by a close family friend, the said person was so close to Bukky to the extent that every secret is kept with her.

Bukky, out of ignorance, came to Nigeria, inspected the said property, having been very satisfied with it, and wrote a cheque of N40m to the swindlers and since then nothing has been heard about it.

When Bukky tried all avenues to retrieve her hard-earned money back, it was said to have yielded no positive result and just recently, Bukky decided to swallow the bitter pill by bringing a closure to the deal gone sour.

"It was at the beginning of this Ramadan season that Bukky resolved to leave everything in God's hands," a source reveals.

Olamide And Manager Part Ways

Olamide has parted ways with his manager, Tony Nwakalor.
NET investigations revealed the pair stopped working together, following commitment issues from both parties..
A source close to the rapper told us he became unsatisfied with Nwakalor's commitment to his career.
'Olamide seemed to have lost confidence in Tony because since working with D'banj, Tony seemed to be more committed to D'banj than him and it doesn't work like that', said the source.
Olamide's new manager who gave her name simply as Rachel, confirmed the situation, but declined giving further details.

'Do you actually expect me to tell you that something happened? Nothing happened, he just changed management and that's all.'

When reached for comments, Nwakalor asked our reporter to call back later and then did not pick up his calls when we later tried to reach him.

D'banj hired Tony Nwakalor who also manages actress Tonto Dikeh just two months ago.

The Yes Records boss replaced D'Banj's former friend-manager Abisagboola Oluseun John, popularly known as Bankulli.

Nwakalor who now runs 1805 Entertainment and Olamide started working together in August, 2011 after the rapper stopped working with his former manager, Toni Payne.

REVEALED: How Wizkid Lost 12m Star Trek Performance

While it is no longer news, that Star Boy, Ayo 'Wizkid' Balogun, will not be headlining this year's edition of the annual Nigerian Breweries PLC sponsored musical concert roadshow, Star Trek, the main reason why the artiste was dropped has been revealed.

Inside sources privy to how the recruitment and negotiation of fee for artistes for the concert are conducted said that the inability of the organisers and WizKid's managers to agree on performance fee led to the musician's absence from the oldest musical concert in the country.

The source said that WizKid was offered N3 million per show and allotted four shows which would have seen him pocket a grand sum of N12 million but his managers allegedly turned it down on thegrounds that it was too small for the highflying artiste. The original aim of turning the offer down according to our source, "was to force the organisers to increase the amount to N5 million per show.

However, the marketing strategy backfired as Nigerian Breweries' management called the bluff of the musician and his managers and replaced him with two other musicians for less the amount offered WizKid." It was further revealed that when it dawned on WizKid that the organisers were not ready to add a dime to the N3 million offered him per show, he ran back to the Iganmu, the headquarters of the Lagos-based alcoholic drink brewers, this time, through long time mentor, Banky W. On getting there, Wizzy was told that he had been replaced by two other artistes and should try his luck next year.
