Funke Akindele and Ex Husband soil each other's image in public

In a recent interview with Encomium magazine, Funke Akindele's ex husband, Keyinde Oloyede Almaroof, clearly stated that he was building a house for his wife before she ended the marriage. He revealed that it's a one-storey building (uncompleted) located off Adeniji Jones in Ikeja, adding that the rejection of the building was one of he reasons for their split.
He further tried to clear the air on the misconception blogs created about him, he said:
"They wrote that I am a tout, from what you are seeing here now, do I look like a tout or garage boy? They also said I'm a drop out, from the way you and I have been speaking, do I speak like someone who did not go to school? I have decided to follow the advice of those who said I should not join issues with her and her supporters. I am not a celebrity. I am an estate developer. She is the star that has her career to protect and I don't want to be the one to spoil her career."
Well, in a revealing chat with E-247 magazine, Funke Akindele sort of replied her husband's interview...
Read what Funke told E24-7MAGAZINE on Friday:
That place is not for me, I have been through hell and back.
I was abused emotionally and verbally. Really, I felt we could work things out when the trouble started two months after the marriage.
But I made up my mind and shut the door of the marriage at him when the trouble was coming to me too much.
I stooped to conquer him; buried my fame and name to make him my husband, but it did not work. At a point in time, I asked if it's not the same man that was all over me before we married.
He nearly got me off my career.  He called me severally; I did not pick his calls but when he realized my silence was tormenting him, he took to Facebook.
It's alright.
Ask him when did he come to my house last? He left me here in my rented apartment with nothing and he will just dash in and dash out.  He gets abusive, caustic anytime we have a misunderstanding and often told me to my face, he's going to his wife in Oshodi.
He sent me SMS that he has seen a buyer for his house at Adeniyi Jones for N40million. He asked me if he should sell it and that if he does, he will buy me a new car and a rent me a new apartment.
Why now? I don't need all that, I want my sanity. I respect him to the end but he chose to treat me that way. He said he wanted to clip my wings.

After Funke ignored him, he sent her another text abusing her and calling her names.

"So you can see that he does not mean well for me," Funke re-iterated.
Funke and Kehinde rarely spent substantial time together even at the peak of their marriage.
Both kept to hectic schedules by virtue of their chosen professions.

While Funke is often involved in back-to-back shooting on movie sets, Kehinde jumps from one   construction site to another; pressing buttons for his political ambitions; and  keeping dates with his wife at home and other women by the side.

Besides, Kehinde's disturbing and haunting pasts  have repeatedly stared Funke right in the face, and according to E24-7 MAGAZINE's impeccable source, Funke learnt shockingly that her once beloved hubby was expelled from the University of Jos almost as soon as he was matriculated as a student of the ivory tower.
His admission, was faulty right from the beginning and since that first attempt at tertiary education went awry, he shut his door at education.

When he returned from Jos, he found strength in his entrepreneurial skill coupled with the influence and support of his mother, a market leader and successful businesswoman; he became an estate developer, building chains of shops in Oshodi market.

Gradually, he crept into politics and his popularity soared  that he became a well-known grassroots politician and a great mobilizer.

To shore up his image, he found in Funke who has become monstrously popular with her movie, Jenifa and the sequel, The Return of Jenifa, a ready tool.
He convinced the favourite actress to lead him to the Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he had assaulted many years ago during the market women leadership tussle between his mother, AlhajaAlmaroof and the late Iyaloja General Alhaja  Abibat Mogaji.

After he atoned for his 'sins,' he joined the train of well- wishers that went to London to felicitate with the former governor when one of his sons graduated from a university in London.

Kehinde's lost bid to win the contract to rebuild Oshodi market really threw him off balance and that probably made him to turn the heat on his latest wife, Funke who wanted his attention.

GOBE: Nigerian music director jailed 90 years in the U.S. for raping, impregnating daughters

An award-winning Nigerian music director, Aswad Ayinde, will now spend a total of 90 years in prison after he was found guilty of fathering children with his daughters.

Ayinde, 55, who lives in New Jersey, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday after he was found guilty of repeatedly raping his six daughters and fathering six children with them.

The music director, credited with the Fugees 1996 smash hit "Killing Me Softly" was first sentenced to 40 years in prison in 2011 after he was found guilty of having sex with one of his daughters when he was as young as eight years old.

The second conviction adds to his sentence for a total of 90 years in jail.

Ayinde's former wife in 2011 had testified that the child rapist was "trying to create a pure family bloodline" by impregnating his own daughters.

During his first trial, Ayinde had claimed that "the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen."

In this latest trial, the court heard how Ayinde began raping his second daughter at age eight and impregnating her four times. The assaults happened for some 30 years and in numerous homes across northern New Jersey until Ayinde and his wife separated.

In a report, NBC New York revealed the abuse happened even while the family was being surveilled by child welfare services.

Some rape episodes even happened in an abandoned funeral home. In 2000, Ayinde moved his family to Florida after case workers removed several children from his home.

He was arrested for kidnapping when he attempted to take his children back, and was sentenced to one year probation when he pleaded guilty to the lesser charges.

Ayinde's wife who testified during the first trial said the abusive father beat and starved his daughters and home-schooled his tortured children so as to keep the family's secret within the family.

Gobe As General Overseer's Wife Catches Him With A Member's Wife

"I was surprised that my husband locked his prayer partner, wife of another man, in his bedroom overnight... The act not only led to the collapse of our marriage but it also led to the break up in the woman's home because after I had left him, people were still seeing my husband and the woman together.
"Her husband eventually sent her packing from her matrimonial home..."

Those where the words of an estranged pastor's wife, Mrs. Rebecca Bamidele, while narrating to an Ojo Customary Court in Lagos, how her husband, Pastor Israel Bamidele, locked himself with a female prayer partner in his bedroom overnight on several occasions.

Giving evidence in a divorce petition which her husband filed against her in the court, Rebecca said although her husband falsely accused her of infidelity, he was the one that is neck deep in the shameful act.
Apart from the issue of hosting his prayer partner in his bedroom, Rebecca also disclosed that she caught her husband, Pastor Bamidele, sleeping with his school secretary on several occasion, but she couldn't complain because he would beat her silly.
When asked the position of her husband's family on the crisis, Rebecca said:
She once traveled to Osun State to meet her mother-in-law but to her surprise her husband's mum said she should allow his son marry another wife because her father-in-law, who is a prophet, had three wives.
redecca added, "When I returned to Lagos, my husband quarreled with me, saying why should I go to his homestead in Osun State to inform his mother about issues in our marriage in Lagos?"

She said, "anytime I complain, my husband will say I was becoming too stubborn for him. He would say in Yoruba, 'ila ti n ga ju onire lo', meaning, the okro plant was becoming taller than it's owner."

When the court asked her about the role played by other pastors to resolve the crisis, Rebecca said Bamidele is the founder and general overseer of his church and as such other leaders were subordinated to him since he appointed them.

The court president, Hakeem Tunde Oyekan, adjourned the matter till 27 August, 2013, for judgement.

Tension As Boko Haram Hijacks Explosives In Yobe

Suspected Boko Haram members have hijacked high calibre explosives from a quarry in Yobe State.

Investigations by our correspondents on Monday revealed that about 25 of the insurgents broke into the quarry located in Bara, the headquarters of the Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe State on Sunday night, carting away the high caliber dynamites neatly arranged in a room.

It was learnt that on their arrival at the quarry, the insurgents broke into the room where the explosives were kept, broke the door and took away five of the bags containing the explosives.

Our correspondents learnt that the invading Boko Haram insurgents, reputed for being brutal in all their operations, did not kill any of the quarry workers during the late night operation.

The invasion has triggered strong suspicions in security circles that the seizure of the dynamites from the Bara quarry might have an insider's collaboration.

It was learnt that one of the explosives in the possession of the Boko Haram members had the capacity to destroy a community.

Investigations revealed that the leadership of the Joint Task Force had commenced massive manhunt for the insurgents to prevent them from distributing the items to carry out devastating attacks in the three states under emergency rule.

The JTF, it was learnt, was apprehensive that the insurgents could launch attacks with the explosives during the Ramadan celebrations.

It was further gathered that the leadership of the JTF in Yobe State had written to all the quarries in possession of such dangerous explosives to move them to the state capital, Damaturu, where they could be protected but the companies allegedly ignored the directive.

A source said the security operatives would not hesitate to hold the companies accountable for any destruction wreaked by the Boko Haram with the dynamites.

The source said, "The Boko Haram invaded the quarry around 2am and carted away five bags of explosives. Each of the bags contains very high calibre explosives used for blasting rocks. These are the type of explosives that can bring down a community."

Pregnant Woman, 7 Others Die In Osun Auto Crash

Tragedy struck early Monday morning, when eight persons, including a pregnant woman, lost their lives in an auto crash, which occurred along Gbongan/Ibadan express road in Osogbo, Osun State.

Credible sources informed our correspondent that the victims of the auto crash were traders going from Ede to Owode via Osogbo. The sad incident occurred at about 6.40 a.m.

It was learnt that the accident which involved three different vehicles, happened when a blue Gulf car with registration number AG 19 EDE coming from the direction of Ede somersaulted and landed on an ash coloured Kia car with registration number KUJ 74 AJ while a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number XR 930 ABC stumbled on them.

An eye witness at the scene of the accident informed Nigerian Tribune that charred bodies of the victims littered the scene of the accident until officials of the Osun Ambulance service arrived to pack them into the ambulance.

Investigations indicated that the accident paralysed commercial activities in the area as many traders who had gone to the popular Owode market to which the deceased were headed to when the tragic accident occurred returned home as a mark of honour for the victims.

While confirming the incident, Osun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Imoh Etuk disclosed that corpses of the victims had been deposited at the mortuary of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

He hinted that the officials of the FRSC in collaboration with the Osun State Ambulance Service, O'Ambulance, and the Police promptly rescued the accident victims and rushed them to the hospital where they were confirmed dead.

Etuk said the identities of the victims could not be ascertained yet, adding that officials of the FRSC were intensifying efforts to contact relatives of the victims through the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

He, however, cautioned drivers against high speed, just as he charged them to observe all precautionary measures while on highways to avoid needless loss of lives and properties.
